Job summary

Breaking Ground in New York City seeks a Program Director, Permanent Housing and Tenant Success Services, to provide strategic, clinical, and operational oversight for a supportive housing program serving individuals moving from shelter to permanent housing. The role leads a multidisciplinary team and ensures high-quality, trauma-informed services.

The position is full-time and in-person, generally Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility to support operations across sites; strong

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS LMSW or LCSW licensure.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in supportive housing or homelessness services preferred.
• Knowledge of Housing First and harm reduction approaches.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, clinical, and operational oversight for the program.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team and supervise staff.
• Ensure trauma-informed, client-centered services and housing stability.
• Ensure program contracts and regulatory compliance; meet performance targets.
• Coordinate care with multiple providers and external partners.
• Oversee budget management and reporting.
• Develop individual service plans and maintain documentation.
