Atomic Machines Inc. is seeking a Director of People to own and scale the People function across onboarding, payroll, benefits, compliance, and data systems.

This hardware-focused leadership role oversees a team handling multi-state payroll, equity programs, and organizational development in a fast-growing environment. You will partner with senior leadership, modernize processes, implement HRIS, and shape learning and development for engineers, manufacturing, and corporate teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive People leadership experience.
• Experience building People Ops in hardware/manufacturing/deep-tech environments.
• Experience moving from a PEO to in-house administration or establishing operations in a new state.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end People function across onboarding to offboarding.
• Lead benefits, payroll transitions from PEO to in-house administration.
• Oversee multi-state payroll and headcount growth.
• Design scalable HR processes and documentation.
