Job summary

Washington Golf & Country Club is seeking a Director of People & Culture to align people strategy with the club's values and operational needs. This role partners with the GM/COO to attract, develop, and retain top talent and to foster an environment where employees understand the club's mission and how their contributions impact member experience.

The position oversees the full employee journey from recruitment through onboarding, development, performance management, recognition, and departure,

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of HR programs and culture initiatives.
• Experience aligning people strategy with business goals.
• Strong communication and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Employee/Team Strategy, Culture, and workforce planning.
• Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, and the welcome strategy.
• Oversee Employee Wellbeing and welfare programs.
• Design and implement Employee Engagement & Recognition programs.
• Support Organizational Development through learning, performance management, and compensation.
• Oversee employee benefits administration, enrollment, vendor coordination, and education to keep programs competitive and compliant.
• Ensure clear, timely, and engaging communications with employees regarding Club policies and updates.
• Collaborate with department heads to shift from management of people to development of people.
