Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

We are searching for a Director to join our high-performing payroll department. The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of experience overseeing an entire payroll function for a parent company and its affiliated brands. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and compliance of payroll processing, implementing best practices, and enhancing payroll systems. You will have a strong background in payroll management, a keen understanding of federal and state regulations, and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements and industry best practices.
• Oversee payroll operations, including data entry, wage calculations, deductions, and benefit administration.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to align payroll practices with overall company goals and objectives.
• Analyze payroll data and provide insights to senior management regarding trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage payroll audits and respond to inquiries from government agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Stay current with payroll technology trends and recommend improvements to payroll systems and software.
• Train, mentor, and develop payroll staff to enhance their skills and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least ten (10) years’ experience in payroll management, with at least five (5) years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance issues.
• Proficiency in payroll software and systems (e.g., Sage, ADP, Paychex, or similar).
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
