Job summary

Valley Community Healthcare is seeking a Director of Patient Access to lead enrollment and eligibility operations, patient engagement, and coordination across multiple departments. You will supervise a team responsible for eligibility, enrollment, call center, referrals, and medical records, driving strategies to increase membership and reduce coverage lapses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• Experience leading enrollment & eligibility teams (Medi-Cal/Medicaid context a plus).
• Knowledge of health insurance programs, enrollment rules, and community outreach.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise: Patient Access, Member Services, Call Center, Referrals, and Medical Records teams.
• Develop and execute outreach strategies to inform community about coverage programs and changes.
• Improve workflows and optimize EHR/PM systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Establish KPIs to measure department performance and drive improvements.
• Build relationships with health plans, CBOs, and external funders.
