Job summary

Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning and stronger mentorship. This Parent Relations Director position is on-site, full-time, and centers on building trust with wealthy families, leading tough conversations, and coordinating with Guides to safeguard the school model.

You will own school growth, retention, and community life as campuses mature, requiring 5+ years of relationship ownership and a belief in AI-powered education.

Qualifications

  • Live within commuting distance of a campus or relocate within 60 days.
  • Compensation is $200,000 per year for listed campuses, Park City at $250,000 per year.
  • On-site full-time, including early mornings, late afternoons, evening events 2–3x/month, and occasional weekends.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • 5+ years personally owning high-trust relationships with families, clients, donors, or members, where judgment and follow-through changed retention or advocacy.
  • A track record of holding firm decisions with demanding stakeholders without losing the relationship.
  • Independent ownership of an ambiguous relationship, community, or growth outcome, with demonstrable results.
  • Willing to own school growth and admissions follow-through when campus phase calls for it.
  • Clear, concise communication that earns confidence quickly with affluent, high-expectation families.
  • Familiarity with independent, private, or non-traditional education.
  • Hands-on daily use of AI tools, and genuine conviction about AI-powered education.

Responsibilities

  • Own every family on campus relationship and lead hard conversations, delivering clear decisions with reasoning.
  • Operate as the parent-facing co-leader alongside Guides, aligning before/after sensitive conversations and protecting coaching relationships.
  • Make real-time calls in ambiguous student and family situations and route high‑risk matters through the correct escalation path.
  • Build campus community through traditions, parent networks, and local partnerships with defined outcomes and trusted champions.
  • Own the growth contribution for the campus phase, developing local demand and managing admissions follow-through at launch/under-enrolled stages; later, focus on retention and referrals.
