Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland seeks an Academic Director of Didactic Education for the Physician Assistant Program.

The director oversees the didactic curriculum, collaborates with faculty and the Program Director, and ensures accreditation standards are met while delivering high-quality education to PA students. The role includes faculty development, accreditation activities with ARC-PA, supervising the Academic Coordinator, and preparing documentation for reviews.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• Minimum Master’s degree from an accredited university.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Maryland PA license or eligibility to obtain a Maryland PA license at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and revise the PA program didactic curriculum and assessments.
• Provide student instruction and academic counseling; monitor remediation when needed.
• Ensure compliance with ARC-PA accreditation standards; prepare reviews and reports.
• Lead faculty development and coordinate with the Program Director and Academic Coordinator.
• Participate in admissions activities and maintain a collegial learning environment.
