Mount St. Mary’s University in Maryland seeks an Academic Director of Didactic Education for the Physician Assistant Program.

The role oversees the didactic curriculum, ensures high-quality instruction, and leads curriculum development to meet accreditation standards. Reporting to the Program Director and supervising the Academic Coordinator, the director will coordinate with faculty, participate in accreditation activities, support faculty development, and help advance PA education and student

Qualifications

• Minimum Master’s degree from an accredited university.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Maryland PA license or eligibility to obtain a Maryland PA license.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a PA.
• Experience with providing instruction in higher education settings or PA education. (preferred)
• Leadership experience. (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Developing, reviewing, and revising the curriculum and competencies for the PA program.
• Ensure instructional faculty meet accreditation requirements and are effective.
• Provide supervision and support for the Academic Coordinator.
• Support accreditation activities and prepare annual reports.
• Participate in program committees and admissions activities.
• Maintain alignment with ARC-PA standards and program policies.
• Stay current with PA education trends and professional practice.
