Northeastern University in Seattle is seeking a Director of Clinical Education and Open Rank Clinical Professor for the Physician Assistant Program. The role leads clinical education, partners with sites, and advances ARC-PA standards while also teaching in the didactic component.

It carries opportunities for scholarship, program administration, and service to the university and PA community. The position may be structured as a four-day academic schedule to accommodate one day per week of

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in health field; doctoral degree preferred.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Washington.
• NCCPA certification; ABMS/AOA board certification for physicians.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in WA state.
• Minimum of two years of clinical practice in a healthcare profession.
• Experience in PA education including faculty, clinical coordinator, or similar.
• Familiarity with ARC-PA standards and PA program accreditation.
• Strong written and oral communication; proficient with standard computer apps.
• Ability to travel to clinical sites.

Responsibilities

• Developing, reviewing, and revising the program's mission, goals, and competencies.
• Serve on admissions committee and select applicants.
• Coordinate, teach, and instruct courses based on content and clinical expertise.
• Maintain didactic courses and clinical rotation sites.
• Facilitate small group discussions, simulations, and labs.
• Monitor and evaluate student performance to ensure course completion.
• Advise and mentor students; support retention and academic progression.
• Design and evaluate the curriculum; coordinate clinical site development.
