National Christian Foundation has served in Indiana for over 15 years. During that time, NCF Indiana has facilitated over $500 million in grants to charities through our service to over 1,300 Indiana families. Overview
The Director of Outreach & Partnerships primarily serves with the NCF Indiana Team by nurturing relationships and channels that lend to a health generosity ecosystem in the state of Indiana. The Director of Outreach & partnerships does this by facilitating improved relationships with current givers, better connections with prospective givers, and enhanced channel development among advisors, charities, churches, and ministry partners. We are seeking a proactive, talented individual with a strong commitment to excellence who will make our team stronger and join us in accomplishing this great task! The ideal candidate will have a Kingdom-minded passion and calling for the work of NCF. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

The successful candidate will possess the following strengths, characteristics, and requirements while performing the following responsibilities through personal implementation or by working through subordinate managers and other local staff.

Role

  • Giver Engagement
    • Proactively reach out to new and existing givers to build relationships, increase awareness and opportunities, connecting them to the larger community, and exploring new ways to serve (i.e., funding DAFs, anticipating gifts, inviting/connecting to events, webinars, etc.).
    • Collaborative support for Relationship Managers in their HCG engagement efforts.
    • Independently reaching out to prospects and ministries developing new relationships, while working under the guidance of the President and Chief Operating Officer.
  • Channel Development and Ministry Support
    • Proactively connect with Advisors, charities, churches, and other ministry partners, offering support and engagement, including but not limited to using events and experiences in our ministry.
  • Prayer
    • Prays regularly for the donors of NCF Indiana and NCF that their generosity would reflect the love of Christ; and for the staff of NCF Indiana, NCF and staffs of those foundations/organizations affiliated with the National Christian Foundation and the National office.

    • Oversee and develop the Generosity Champions initiative including engaging and convening donors and centers of influence around the cause of generosity.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years investor relations, donor relations, inside sales, or customer service experience required.
  • Previous charitable giving, non-profit, or ministry experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and social media platforms preferred.

Nature and Scope
  • Reporting Relationship: This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer. This role also includes significant interaction and cooperation with other team roles.
  • Employment Status: Full-time, salary with benefits available.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week. Additional hours may be required during the peak work periods and projects.
  • Work Environment: 20% internal/office, 80% customer & channel. Hybrid work environment.
  • Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.
  • Travel: Travel within the state of Indiana monthly or as needed. Travel outside of the state of Indiana but within the U.S. 1-3 times/year.
