Job summary

U.S. Food and Drug Administration is seeking a Director, Office of Organizational Performance and Integration to lead organizational performance management, transformation of shared services, and strategic planning across the Agency.

The role requires coordinating complex initiatives, implementing new authorities, and driving data-driven decision making with senior officials across multiple sites. Active-duty public health service officers are encouraged to apply in related contexts.

Qualifications

• Experience establishing organizational policy and implementing new legislative authorities or significant mandates.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with large staff across geographic areas.
• Experience coordinating complex work, prioritizing, and building coalitions with external partners.
• Ability to promote accountability, coordinate senior management decisions, and enable cross-organizational collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Exercises full supervisory authority over OOPI staff and subordinate personnel in organizational performance management, shared services transformation, strategic planning, process improvement, and interagency coordination.
• Directs work through supervisors, plans priorities, assigns responsibilities, and ensures timely accomplishment of objectives.
• Prepares performance standards, conducts reviews, and oversees recruitment, hiring and incentive actions as appropriate.
• Fosters an inclusive, high-performing work environment that promotes accountability, professional growth and innovation.
