Northwestern Mutual Houston seeks a Director of Operations to lead Enterprise Operations, Technology, and Centralized Talent. You will partner with the Managing Partner to drive strategic growth, improve processes, and align policies across the Network Office.

This full-time role in Houston requires 7+ years of leadership in wealth management or financial services, with strong change management, HR and operations experience, plus SHRM/PMP credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in business, finance, HR, management, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, business management, human resources, or financial services.
• Experience leading large-scale operational initiatives and driving growth.
• Experience building high-performing teams and promoting engagement and accountability.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior leadership.
• Proven ability to lead change, improve processes, and drive operational excellence.
• Excellent communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in wealth management, financial services, insurance, or professional services.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic growth initiatives and operational priorities with the MP and MDs.
• Drive cross-functional alignment, culture, and business performance across offices.
• Oversee facilities, technology collaboration, and procurement for efficiency.
• Manage centralized services supporting advisors and talent development across teams.
• Partner with the PEO to optimize HRIS, policies, and onboarding processes.
• Develop and sustain employee engagement and culture programs.
