Job summary

University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) seeks a Director of Operations to provide executive support, communications and PR, financial management and reporting, and event coordination for the Faculty Director.

You will lead activities shaping administrative workflow, interact with donors and campus leadership, and build external partnerships. You will plan events with partners, from meetings to academic conferences domestically and abroad, requiring diplomacy and strategic oversight.

Qualifications

• High-level administration experience advising senior management or overseeing complex programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication for sensitive university-level issues.
• Ability to develop broad assessments and strategic plans.
• Strong data analysis of qualitative and quantitative information.
• Independent work and initiative in challenging situations.
• Excellent listening and diplomatic communication with campus leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive support, communications and PR support, financial management and reporting, and event coordination for the Faculty Director.
• Lead and direct activities related to oversight and administrative workflow for the Faculty Director.
• Interact with high level campus constituents, donors, campus administration, and the academic community with tact.
• Build relationships to expand external partnerships and development opportunities; manage external partners, donors, and grant agencies.
• Plan and coordinate events with partners ranging from meetings to academic conferences and colloquia domestically and abroad.
