Job summary

Timken is seeking a Director of Operations to manage daily manufacturing, drive efficiency, and oversee strategic plans across departments. This leadership role requires coordinating production control, engineering, procurement, and quality teams to meet schedules, budgets, and safety standards.

The candidate will define KPIs, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and mentor operations staff while ensuring regulatory compliance and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Six Sigma / TQM / 5S / Kaizen training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seamless production from raw materials to finished goods, maintaining efficiency, quality and safety.
• Create and implement strategic plans aligning manufacturing with business goals (capacity, scheduling, cost, improvements).
• Coordinate across engineering, production control, accounting, purchasing, quality and other departments for on-time schedules.
• Define, monitor and analyze KPIs to drive continuous improvement and informed decisions.
• Recruit, mentor and manage operations staff to sustain leadership and talent.
