Job summary

Student Choice is seeking a Director of Operations in San Antonio to lead loan servicing activities and oversee program management. The role reports to senior leadership and requires extensive coordination with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely operations.

The candidate will manage staff, streamline processes, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving efficiency and service quality across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Prefer student loan industry experience.
• Ability to motivate, lead, and develop management and associates; build a resilient team.
• Resolve problems and improve business processes with internal/external stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and presence; proactively manage client needs and change.
• Commitment to accuracy and timeliness in all work products.
• Demonstrated technical, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loan servicing activities with Student Choice partner, including payments and inquiries.
• Supervise operations staff, manage tickets, new program implementations, change management, training.
• Manage office operations to ensure resources and information are accessible.
• Research and analyze customer problems and mobilize resources to implement solutions.
• Resolve complex situations with internal partners, credit unions, and external partners via clear communication.
• Ensure regular coaching and performance evaluations to support goals.
• Standardize operations policies to maintain an organized framework.
• Collaborate with Compliance and IT to ensure regulatory and system needs are met.
