This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining strong client relationships and protecting profitability. The ideal candidate combines hands-on construction expertise with financial acumen, strategic thinking, and a proven ability to lead Project Managers and Superintendents across multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong financial management skills, including project forecasting, job-cost analysis, cost-to-complete projections, budgeting, and margin management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction means and methods, sequencing, subcontractor coordination, safety, quality control, scheduling, and project management processes.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and project schedules.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, strategic planning, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technology proficiency; Procore experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel regularly to active project sites throughout the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required federal facility access credentials.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), prevailing-wage requirements, design-build delivery, and other federal construction requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Foundation or comparable construction accounting software.
