• Experience overseeing large-scale commercial projects (2M–30M+).

The Externals Group is working with a well-established and rapidly expanding structural restoration contractor that is looking to launch a dedicated Commercial Roofing division across Florida.

With approximately $100M in annual revenue and a strong reputation working on high-end commercial buildings, this is a unique opportunity for an experienced roofing operations professional to take ownership of building and developing a new division from the ground up.

They are looking for a commercially minded operations leader who understands the roofing market, can help establish the division's infrastructure, and has the experience to manage everything from bidding and estimating through to project delivery and operational growth.

This is a high-impact position where you'll have the opportunity to shape the direction of the division, develop processes, build a team and play a key role in the company's continued expansion throughout Florida.

A Day in the Life:

• Take ownership of establishing and developing the company's new Commercial Roofing division.
• Develop and implement operational processes, systems and procedures to support the division's growth.
• Lead and oversee the bidding and estimating process for commercial roofing projects.
• Work closely with clients, general contractors and internal teams to identify and secure new opportunities.
• Oversee projects from initial bid through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.
• Build and develop the roofing team as the division grows, including identifying key hires and establishing the operational structure.
• Monitor project performance, budgets, margins and overall profitability.
• Play a key role in developing the company's commercial roofing strategy across the Florida market.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior operations role within the commercial roofing industry.
• Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems, projects and construction processes.
• Demonstrable experience with commercial roofing estimating and bidding.
• Experience overseeing large-scale commercial projects, with projects ranging from approximately $2M to $30M+.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding, with the ability to manage budgets, margins and project profitability.
• Experience building teams, processes or operations within a growing roofing business would be highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication and client management skills.
• Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on with the development of a new division.
