Application Deadline: June 13, 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) is seeking a dynamic, visionary, and strategic leader to serve as the Director of Operations and Professional Development. This role is responsible for designing, executing, and evaluating innovative professional development programs and educational initiatives that support the growth of CSC members across career stages, roles, and institution types. The ideal candidate will have experience in program development, and/or collegiate athletics, and will be passionate about fostering an inclusive and forward-thinking learning environment.
This position will report to the Executive Director as part of the CSC national staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-tiered professional development strategy that aligns with CSC’s mission and the evolving needs of its diverse membership.
- Lead the creation and execution of webinars, workshops, online learning modules, mentorship initiatives, and the annual CSC Unite convention’s educational programming.
- Foster relationships with institutional partners, subject matter experts, and industry leaders to enhance CSC’s learning portfolio and expand access to external resources.
- Contribute by leading or assisting with to be determined assigned CSC programs supporting member advocacy, recognition, contests, networking and education.
- Develop metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of programs; report regularly on impact, engagement, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist with convention operations and logistics.
- Supervise annual interns.
- Serve as staff liaison to select CSC committees and divisional cabinets.
- Participate in regular staff, committee and Executive Board meetings.
- Represent the association in a professional manner at various internal and external functions and in working with internal and external constituencies including, but not limited to, the CSC Executive Board of Directors, the membership and corporate partners.
- Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, convention and event planning, operations support, and association management.

- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Acrobat and InDesign).
Required Travel
- CSC national staff are required to travel to attend in-person events throughout the year including hosting the CSC Unite convention each June. Examples of other possible events include the NCAA Convention, CSC meetings, convention site visits and other college athletics events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor’s degree is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of seven years of full-time professional experience working on a college athletics campus, conference office, or in an association setting similar to CSC.
