The Director of Nutrition Services is responsible for the overall management of the school district's child nutrition program in accordance with Opaa! policies, procedures, client policies, and governmental regulations. The Director acts as the liaison between Opaa! and the school district by managing the program efficiently, creating and maintaining relationships, overseeing the kitchen team, and ensuring compliance. FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Manage staff performance, conduct meetings, handle hiring, training, scheduling, and resolve workplace issues following HR policies.
Ensure adherence to recipes, policies, safety, and health regulations. Complete necessary documentation and attend training.
Build and maintain effective communication with district stakeholders, participate in meetings, and promote the program positively.
Manage participation metrics, costs, inventory, and documentation. Oversee hiring, onboarding, and operational processes.
High School Diploma or GED required; relevant experience and supervisory skills preferred. Proficiency in MS Office and food service equipment necessary.
