Position Summary

The Director of Nutrition Services is responsible for the overall management of the school district's child nutrition program in accordance with Opaa! policies, procedures, client policies, and governmental regulations. The Director acts as the liaison between Opaa! and the school district by managing the program efficiently, creating and maintaining relationships, overseeing the kitchen team, and ensuring compliance. Operations

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

1. Ensure seamless daily kitchen operations, including menu review, food quality, cleanliness, and safety protocols.
2. Maintain accurate production records and ensure reimbursable meals meet the required standards.
3. Monitor tray counting, cost parameters, and timely meal service.
4. Promote customer satisfaction by addressing food quality and service issues.
5. Coordinate meal transportation and ensure menu adherence.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchens and storage areas.
7. Document and report daily display tray pictures and maintenance issues.

Supervisory

Manage staff performance, conduct meetings, handle hiring, training, scheduling, and resolve workplace issues following HR policies.

Compliance

Ensure adherence to recipes, policies, safety, and health regulations. Complete necessary documentation and attend training.

Client Relationships

Build and maintain effective communication with district stakeholders, participate in meetings, and promote the program positively.

Administrative

Manage participation metrics, costs, inventory, and documentation. Oversee hiring, onboarding, and operational processes.
