Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing in Hawaii to lead nursing and clinical care for residents in accordance with state and federal guidelines. The role includes oversight of admissions, MDS, care planning, infection control, and regulatory rounds.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of nursing leadership experience in geriatrics or long-term care, with a Hawaii RN license current and unencumbered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years professional nursing experience required.
• Geriatrics or long-term care experience preferred; management experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Hawaii RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
• Oversees MDS assessments, care planning and RAI process; oversees infection control.
• Ensures continuity in provision of nursing services to meet established standards of quality and reviews incident/24-hour reports.
• Oversees resident care and implementation of resident-specific care plans.
• Conducts daily resident rounds, including regulatory compliance rounds, across units.

The Position:

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Director of Nursing to manage, direct and coordinate the delivery of nursing and clinical care to residents in conjunction with state and federal guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Oversees admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
• Provides oversight of MDS assessments, care planning and RAI process. Oversees Infection Control processes.
• Ensures continuity in provision of nursing services to meet established standards of quality such as reviews incident reports, accident and injury reports and 24-hour reports from units daily to ensure timely, effective responses to changes and resident events.
• Oversees resident care and implementation of and compliance with resident-specific care plans.
• Conducts daily resident rounds, including regulatory compliance rounds, in all nursing units and assures follow-up on identified issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years professional nursing experience required.
• Experience in geriatrics, or long-term care preferred; management experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii required.
