Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Senior Living Director of Nursing (LPN or RN) to partner with the Community Director and oversee care programs, train Resident Assistants, and ensure compliance with state regulations and HIPAA.

The role requires a current LPN license, CPR, and at least two years in senior living. You will manage staffing, monitor medications, maintain EHRs, and oversee budgets while providing on-site coverage and leadership.

Qualifications

• LPN license in good standing with the state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in senior living or long-term care.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ needs and develop individualized service plans.
• Maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) and monitor medication administration.
• Notify healthcare providers and families of resident health changes.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate healthcare staff.
• Conduct staff in-services and ongoing training.
• Manage inventory of nursing supplies and equipment.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Provide 24/7 on-site coverage for emergencies and urgent resident needs.
• Document incidents and follow up as required.
• Maintain budget compliance for healthcare operations.
