Aspire Senior Living New Florence is seeking a Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the nursing team. The DON will oversee clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality of care across the community.

Ideal candidates hold an active Missouri RN license with BSN preferred and 3–5 years of leadership in long-term care. This on-site, full-time role offers growth opportunities and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri RN license is required.
• BSN is preferred.
• Prior nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is favorable.
• 3–5 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and quality practices.
• Experience with EHR and nursing management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the nursing department and daily clinical operations.

Position Overview

Aspire Senior Living New Florence is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) – RN to lead our nursing team.

The Director of Nursing provides leadership and oversight of nursing services to ensure high-quality resident care, clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and a positive environment for residents and employees. The DON works closely with the Administrator, nursing leadership, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary team to support exceptional resident outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the nursing department and daily clinical operations.
• Recruit, train, supervise, develop, and support RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and nursing team members.
• Promote a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, communication, and professional growth.
• Ensure resident-centered care is delivered according to established clinical standards and individual care plans.
• Monitor resident outcomes, quality measures, clinical performance, and nursing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards of nursing practice.
• Support survey readiness, regulatory inspections, audits, and corrective action plans.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, education, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapy, social services, dietary, administration, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and community leadership.
• Provide leadership and clinical direction during emergencies and changes in resident condition.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BSN preferred.
• Previous nursing leadership or management experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant nursing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, survey processes, quality assurance, and clinical best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and nursing management systems.
• Commitment to resident-centered care, employee development, and continuous quality improvement.
