Job summary

BEACON BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT SERVICES seeks a Director of Nursing for our inpatient behavioral health facility in Bunkie, LA. The DON will oversee the nursing department, lead a multidisciplinary team, develop policies, and ensure regulatory compliance to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role requires an RN license in Louisiana, a BSN or higher, and at least 5 years of direct clinical nursing experience with 2+ years in a supervisory role. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana.
• BSN degree or higher.
• Minimum 5 years direct clinical nursing experience with working with mentally ill patients, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, nursing standards, and patient care protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the nursing staff to ensure effective and compassionate patient care.
• Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans and outcomes.
• Oversee staffing schedules, recruitment, and training programs to maintain a skilled and motivated nursing team.
