Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Bunkie is seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee all psychiatric nursing services for adult male patients. The role leads RNs, LPNs, and mental health workers within active treatment programs and ensures high standards of care and documentation.

Required education includes an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing with MSN oversight; an RN license in good standing in Louisiana. Masters preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required in Louisiana; in good standing
• Experience leading nursing teams in psychiatric settings recommended
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for psychiatric care and documentation <=140 chars

Responsibilities

• Oversee psychiatric nursing services for active treatment programs
• Supervise RNs, LPNs and mental health workers
• Develop and evaluate individualized psychiatric nursing care plans
