Job summary

CLARU DEVILLE NURSING CENTER in Fredericktown, Missouri, is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead resident care with a hands-on management style. The role requires an RN license, CPR/First Aid certification, and LTC experience, with strong organizational and regulatory knowledge.

The DON will oversee policy development, staff evaluations, and recruitment, while ensuring cost controls and quality patient care. Flexibility for day shifts and emergencies is expected.

Qualifications

• Supervisory: 1 years (Required)
• Long Term Care: 2 years (Preferred)
• Registered Nurse License (Required)
• CPR/First Aid (Required)

Responsibilities

• The coordination of resident care with a “hands on” management style
• Strong organizational skills
• Develops, reviews, and revises nursing and clinical policies
• Able to work days but also willing to be flexible during a staff shortage or emergency situation
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and disciplinary situations to ensure quality care of residents
• Ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of Long-Term Care Regulations
• Ability to lead in the recruitment of qualified staff by conducting interviews
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
• Ability to focus on customer service and collaboration with other departments to develop, support, and coordinate patient care and related functions
• Promote an atmosphere of respect, professional growth, and encouragement for all nursing staff members and assure regulatory standards and company goals are met or exceeded
• Responsible for cost controls by monitoring the use of supplies and equipment
