Job summary

Carmel Hills Wellness & Rehabilitation Center in Missouri is seeking a seasoned Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations in our skilled nursing facility. You will oversee 24-hour nursing services, ensure quality resident care, and collaborate with leadership to maintain survey readiness.

The role requires a Missouri RN license, a nursing degree, and several years of long-term care or acute care leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Missouri is required.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in long-term care or acute care settings recommended.
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all nursing services within the facility.
• Ensure high-quality resident care per physician orders and care plans.
• Oversee the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing leadership and frontline staff.
• Communicate and reinforce policies, procedures, and clinical expectations.
• Oversee staffing levels and workforce management; ensure survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
