Job summary

Brookestone View is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to provide clinical leadership and champion quality resident care in a long-term care setting. You will oversee the nursing department, guide clinical operations, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.

The DON will mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing required.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, Medicare standards, and clinical compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams, build relationships, and inspire others.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the overall operations of the nursing department.
• Recruit, mentor, coach, and retain nursing team members.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, Medicare, and HIPAA regulations.
• Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Monitor resident care outcomes and clinical quality measures.
• Oversee documentation and accuracy within electronic medical record systems.
