Brookestone View in Broken Bow, NE is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as our Director of Nursing (DON). This leadership role provides strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services, maintains high clinical standards, and ensures regulatory compliance.

As DON you will hire, develop, mentor, and support nursing staff; collaborate with physicians, residents, and families; oversee accurate clinical documentation in EMR/EHR; lead quality improvement

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical knowledge and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to motivate teams and build positive working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor staffing effectiveness and allocate nursing resources appropriately.

Position Overview

The Director of Nursing provides strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services within the community. This individual is responsible for maintaining high clinical standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing nursing staff, and fostering a culture centered on quality care and resident dignity.

Working closely with physicians, department leaders, residents, and families, the DON helps drive exceptional clinical outcomes while promoting teamwork and accountability throughout the nursing department.

Preferred

• Previous Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or other nursing leadership experience.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, post-acute care, or senior living settings.
• Familiarity with regulatory surveys, Medicare guidelines, and quality assurance processes.
• Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
