LEWIS AND CLARK in St. Charles, MO is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead nursing operations and ensure high-quality resident care. The DON will provide hands-on management, develop policies, and collaborate across departments to meet regulatory standards.

The role requires RN license, 1 year supervisory experience, and CPR/First Aid. The DON will recruit and evaluate staff, manage costs, and adapt to emergencies while maintaining excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Supervisory role with at least 1 year of experience.
• Long Term Care: 2 years preferred.
• Registered Nurse License required.
• CPR/First Aid required.

Director of Nursing Duties and Responsibilities:

• The coordination of resident care with a “hands on” management style

• Strong organizational skills

• Develops, reviews, and revises nursing and clinical policies

• Able to work days but also willing to be flexible during a staff shortage or emergency situation

• Conduct employee performance evaluations and disciplinary situations to ensure quality care of residents

• Ability to multi-task

• Knowledge of Long-Term Care Regulations

• Ability to lead in the recruitment of qualified staff by conducting interviews

• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant

• Ability to focus on customer service and collaboration with other departments to develop, support, and coordinate patient care and related functions
