Job summary

Lost Creek Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead nursing services in our skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on strategic leadership, program development, and ensuring compliance with state and CMS standards.

The Director of Nursing will oversee clinical operations, ensure timely assessments and care plans, and supervise nursing staff to maintain high-quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Valid State RN license.
• Familiar with state and federal regulations.
• Current CPR certification.
• 3 years of management or supervisory experience in long-term care.
• Experience supervising nursing staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to maintain regular attendance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Relate professionally and positively with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinates the clinical operations of the facility implementing shared governance and relationship-based care in all departments as assigned by the Administrator.
• Oversees the safety and infection control programs for the nursing department.
• Provides guidance and leadership in meeting the CMS standards of quality.
• Ensures that the care plans, initial assessments, quarterly assessments, annual assessments, and documents of similar nature are filed in a thorough and timely manner.
• Maintain the highest possible quality measures of the facility to ensure that residents' are receiving the highest level of care.
• Provide supervision of CNA's, LPN's, and RN's in a supportive and clear manner.
