Summary: The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees the Nursing Department, ensuring quality care, compliance with standards, and efficient use of resources. The role involves managing staff performance, participating in facility committees, and maintaining regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure nursing interventions meet residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs, promoting independence and social interaction.
• Evaluate staff performance, ensure compliance, and manage resources effectively.
• Manage the facility's operations in the absence of the Facility Administrator.
• Develop staffing plans aligned with facility needs.
• Participate in recruitment, staff relations, and admission evaluations.
• Maintain relationships with residents, families, physicians, and the community.
• Serve on Quality Improvement and Safety Committees.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in WI.
• BSN/MSN preferred.
• 3-5 years of management experience in a long-term or post-acute setting.
• Previous DON or ADON experience preferred.
• Flexible availability to meet resident care needs.
• Strong customer service skills.
