Oak Haven Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Jonesville, Louisiana, is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to drive clinical excellence and staff development. The DON will lead the nursing department, ensure regulatory compliance, and shape patient-centered care strategies in a long-term care setting.

The role requires a BSN and Louisiana RN licensure with at least five years in nursing, including three in leadership.

Qualifications

• BSN required; Master’s degree preferred.
• RN licensure in Louisiana.
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience with at least 3 years in leadership/management.
• Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
• In-depth knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the nursing department.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff for high performance and compliance.
• Oversee recruitment, retention, and training of nursing personnel.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
• Develop and implement policies to maintain high-quality resident care.
• Conduct audits to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create personalized care plans.
• Ensure evidence-based practices optimize patient outcomes.
• Address patient or family concerns promptly and compassionately.
• Manage departmental budgets, staffing schedules, and resources.
• Participate in facility leadership meetings and contribute to goals.
• Serve as liaison between administration, staff, residents and families.

3. Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
4. Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
5. Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
6. In-depth knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards.
