Ellicott Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is actively seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to work at our Skilled Nursing Facility located in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organization and communication skills, as well as prior DON experience in LTC.

Duties Include:

1. Supervising all nursing staff in the facility
2. Developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures
3. Overseeing the hiring and ongoing employment of nursing staff
4. Ensuring adequate staffing and that staff skills remain current
5. Overseeing nursing employee conduct
6. Monitoring incidents at the facility
7. Assessing the health needs of each resident

Requirements:

1. Current New York State RN license
2. Prior DON experience
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in long-term care
4. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
5. Strong supervision and leadership skills evidence
