TAG MedStaffing is seeking a Director of Nursing (RN) in Essex County, NJ. This in-office role leads nursing operations across multiple locations, overseeing clinical staff, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance in correctional and behavioral health settings.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of nursing management experience, a BSN, an active NJ RN license, CPR certification, and travel to locations as needed.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Active New Jersey RN license; PA license or compact preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• 5–10 years of nursing experience with healthcare administration or nursing management.
• Experience in correctional or behavioral health settings; knowledge of healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing operations across multiple locations with staff supervision, hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
• Monitor nursing care delivery, medication administration, and clinical procedures to ensure patient safety and quality.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with nursing licensure and clinical policies.
• Coordinate staff orientation, mandatory training, and ongoing professional development.
• Conduct audits of clinical documentation and drive improvements in care delivery.
• Coordinate staffing coverage and vendor relationships while providing clinical support as needed.
