Job summary

CFG Health Systems seeks a Director of Mental Health to lead comprehensive mental health services for incarcerated individuals in New Jersey, ensuring compliance with Department of Corrections standards and community care expectations. The role provides clinical and administrative leadership for all site mental health services and liaises with external providers, with on‑call support as required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology.
• Current, unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
• Clinical leadership or supervisory experience, with correctional or institutional experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, leadership, and performance evaluation of mental health clinical staff.
• Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures for mental health services in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to communicate updates and performance metrics.
• Coordinate and integrate mental health care with medical, nursing, and custody staff.
• Oversee referrals for psychiatric and psychopharmacological services and ensure appropriate transfers.
• Participate in meetings and provide direct clinical services when needed.
• Oversee discharge planning and continuity of care for individuals returning to the community.
