Banyan Treatment Centers is proud to expand our life‑changing services to Greater Tampa, FL and is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team—overseeing operations, ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient care and regulatory compliance, and fostering the professional growth of our staff.

As a nationally recognized provider of addiction and mental health care accredited by The Joint Commission—with 18 locations, robust Telehealth services, and backed by TPG’s Rise Fund since 2023—our 1,600+ employees are dedicated to delivering compassionate, high‑quality care that transforms lives.

• Reports to: Executive Director
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm; flexibility required.
• Location: Seminole, FL (On-site)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Nursing Team: Supervise and support nurses to foster a positive, goal-driven work environment.
• Oversee Daily Operations: Manage staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
• Ensure High-Quality Patient Care: Collaborate with providers to deliver medically sound care, including health assessments and patient education.
• Manage Staff Performance: Oversee performance, documentation, and regulatory compliance; lead orientation, training, and evaluations.
• Maintain Compliance & Standards: Develop and enforce nursing policies that meet DEA, licensure, and regulatory requirements.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with clinical, medical, and support teams to ensure seamless, integrated care.
• Supervise Medication Processes: Monitor medication administration, address any errors, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Support Quality & Safety: Participate in audits, review nursing documentation, and uphold Joint Commission and healthcare standards.
• Invest in Team Development: Provide ongoing training and leadership development to advance nursing staff skills and career growth.
• Promote a Safe Environment: Enforce infection control, safety protocols, and risk mitigation practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a nursing management role.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral and/or mental healthcare settings.
• Active RN license to practice nursing in the State of Florida
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing school
• Proven expertise in healthcare administration, team leadership, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient care standards.
• Experience in multi-department coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing school
