The purpose of Campus Health (CH) is to provide appropriate, affordable, accessible and high quality primary health care to eligible students, and provide a comprehensive disease-prevention and health promotion program in the NC State University community. The major function of Campus Health is that of providing outpatient care to the 34,000+ NC State students. Some level of medical care is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the academic year beginning in August and ending in May. Hours of service vary during the summer and during holidays and student breaks.

The Campus Health Nurse Director serves in a key leadership role that manages a team of healthcare professionals and ensures the provision of high-quality healthcare services. This position coordinates the delivery of health services, ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, and oversees quality improvement.
The Nurse Director plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, ensuring that all practices meet the highest standards of care and legal requirements. Working in tandem with the Medical Director and Executive Director, they collaborate to develop and implement evidence-based protocols and policies that promote excellence in healthcare delivery.
