Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star is seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee ambulatory surgical services. The role focuses on day-to-day OR operations, process improvements, and collaboration with the ASC Administrator to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will have a BSN (MSN preferred), RN license in Texas, and at least 2 years of leadership experience in surgical services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional school of Nursing.
• Requires BSN; MSN preferred.
• Experience in surgical services in ambulatory or acute care settings.
• 2+ years of strong leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of ambulatory surgical services.
• Lead staff credentialing, safety, risk management and quality improvement initiatives.

Director of Nursing at Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star:

The Ambulatory Surgical Services Director of Nursing is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the operating room and implements process initiatives to improve efficiency of services and patient experience. The Director Nursing of Ambulatory Surgery Center will report to the ASC Administrator and will collaborate with them to promote fiscal accountability, develop and revise policies, and evaluate staff performance. The Outpatient Surgical Center Clinical Director will oversee staff credentialing, preventative safety measures, risk management duties, and use their clinical and leadership experience to enhance patient care and improve clinical outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a professional school of Nursing.
• Requires BSN; MSN preferred
• Preop/Pacu, ICU or Operating room experience
• 2 plus years strong leadership experience required
• Experience in a surgical services in either the acute care or outpatient setting
• RN License in the State
• BLS/ACLS/PALS required
• Excellent communication and people skills
