Job summary

SAK Management is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department in Illinois. You will oversee daily operations, develop care plans, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and Medicare regulations while promoting resident rights and high-quality care.

The DON will collaborate with the medical director and staff to maintain accurate records, implement policies, and drive continuous quality improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Current IL RN license is required.
• 3+ years of nursing administration experience.
• Experience with HIPAA and Medicare regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Job description

The Director of Nursing (DON) leads and oversees the nursing department. The central goal of this position will be to develop a collaborative and efficient workplace with specific attention to quality resident care. You will perform a range of duties including but not limited to maintaining the nursing department, setting long term goals and overseeing record keeping processes.

Duties:

• - Manage the daily operations of the nursing department
• - Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare.
• - Oversee the development and implementation of resident care plans, ensuring that each resident receives personalized care that meets their unique needs.
• - Conduct regular documentation reviews to ensure that medical records are accurate and complete.
• - Foster an environment that promotes resident rights, dignity, and well-being.
• - Collaborate with the medical director to ensure that residents receive high-quality medical care.
• - Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• - Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to the highest level of patient care and professionalism.
• - Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve the quality of care and reduce the risk of adverse events.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing administration
• Proven experience with HIPAA and Medicare regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• A commitment to resident rights and dignity.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain any necessary certifications or clearances.
