Arcadia Care is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department in our Illinois facility. The DON will plan, organize, and direct daily nursing operations to ensure the highest quality of care in compliance with regulations.

The role requires an RN license in Illinois and prior supervisory healthcare experience. It involves coordinating in-house services, overseeing staffing and administrative duties, and maintaining regulatory standards while promoting exceptional resident

Qualifications

• Must hold a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current Illinois unencumbered license to practice as an RN.
• 3 years of experience in a supervisor healthcare role, preferred.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of the Director of Nursing is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained.

Essential Duties:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Ensure enough licensed practical and/or registered nurses; Certified Nursing Assistants; medications; and safety equipment are available and utilized in the proper manner for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintained.
