Job Description

A respected senior care organization in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead nursing services across a skilled nursing, memory care, and assisted living community. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, ensuring high-quality resident care, and guiding nursing team development.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience in a skilled nursing environment, with the ability to partner closely with administration and clinical teams to support resident outcomes and operational success.

Schedule

Monday - Friday
8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all daily nursing department operations

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on skilled nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of nursing management experience in a skilled nursing setting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage clinical operations effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Director of Nursing (DON) experience in a skilled nursing environment is strongly preferred
• Leadership experience overseeing regulatory compliance and quality improvement initiatives
• Experience managing nursing teams in long‑term care or senior living settings
• Background supporting memory care or assisted living services is a plus
