Director of Nursing - LTC

Canandaigua, NY

Salary: Up to $135K per year (depending on experience)

Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing:

• Be knowledgeable of incidents at the facility
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, doctors, and healthcare administrators
• Develop and implement facility policies, procedures, and standards of care ; Assign adequate and appropriate staffing for all shifts within state guidelines
• Managing risk and problem-solving when nurses have issues
• Ensure that the nursing staff is properly trained and equipped to provide high-quality patient care and coordinate the day-to-day clinical needs
• Monitor and evaluate expenses within the department
• Create operational procedures and training plans to assist the nursing staff in achieving objectives

Requirements of the Director of Nursing:

• Must have a valid New York RN license
• Must have experience as a Director of Nursing in long term care
• Must have prior long-term care experience
• Must have excellent leadership skills and communication skills
• Must have strong clinical knowledge & background
