Job summary

ESC LLC in Denver is seeking an experienced Director of Network & Security to build and lead the technical side of our security operations. You will own standards for intrusion, surveillance, access control, and network deployments, and serve as the top escalation point for field deployments.

You will design the playbook, oversee network architecture, ensure cybersecurity posture, mentor engineers, and travel regularly to project sites across the United States.

Qualifications

• Strong background in physical security systems: intrusion alarm, video surveillance, and access control.
• Solid networking skills: routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and network security best practices.
• Hands-on technical experience and strong troubleshooting capabilities.
• Leadership and team management experience.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the United States (50%).
• Ability to build systems and processes, not simply operate within existing ones.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+, Security+, CPP/PSP) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set technical standards for intrusion alarm, surveillance, access control, and network deployments.
• Design access control systems including credentials, door hardware, readers, controllers, permissions, and integration with video and alarm systems.
• Design and oversee network architecture (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, remote access) that connects deployed systems to our monitoring infrastructure.
• Own the cybersecurity posture of deployed systems, from device hardening and firmware management to secure remote monitoring.
• Provide technical leadership and escalation support for deployment and monitoring teams.
• Travel to project sites to support complex deployments, commissioning, and escalated troubleshooting.
• Develop documentation, deployment standards, and repeatable processes.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead technical personnel as the division expands.

ESC is a technology integrator specializing in high end home automation systems including Crestron, Lutron, Control4, JoshAI. We design, install, and support integrated security solutions across luxury residential, commercial, and high-security environments, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and long-term support. Additional verticals include network infrastructure, security, access control, surveillance, and NOC support.

Compensation: $120,000 base salary + bonuses based on performance. Full benefits package including 401k, medical, PTO.

The Role (Required Travel 50%)

This person will own the standards for how we design, deploy, secure, and support intrusion, surveillance, access control, and network systems. You'll set the technical playbook our deployment and monitoring teams follow, and you'll be the top escalation point when things get complicated in the field.
