Mondo seeks a Director of Network Operations onsite in New York, NY to lead operations across high-visibility live-event environments. This role requires 5–10 years in network operations and strong leadership for a team of 5–10 professionals.

The position focuses on network reliability, incident response, and proactive readiness, with hands-on leadership during major incidents and critical projects. On-site work is required five days a week in NYC.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in Network Operations or related fields.
• Experience managing 5–10 technical professionals.
• Strong enterprise LAN/WAN networking background.
• Proficient with SolarWinds dashboards and monitoring.
• Experience with incident/change management.
• Ability to lead incidents and coordinate across teams.
• Must reside in the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area.
• U.S. work Authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Network Operations across multiple venue environments.
• Lead network readiness and technical resource planning for live events.
• Ensure pre-event checks, reporting, monitoring, and coverage are completed.
• Monitor network health, performance, availability, and operational readiness.
• Build and maintain SolarWinds dashboards, alerts, and operational reporting.
• Track network infrastructure projects, changes, incidents, risks, and priorities.
• Coordinate Network Operations and Engineering resources across projects and events.
• Lead incident triage, escalation, service restoration, and high-priority network issues.
• Maintain processes for alert handling, incident response, escalation, and change management.
• Partner with Network Engineering, Technical Operations, and other technical stakeholders.
• Provide network performance, project, and incident updates to technical leadership.
• Lead and mentor a growing team of technical professionals.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership during major incidents and critical projects.

Compensation Range: $95.00/hr - $110.00/hr W2
Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Description

Lead Network Operations across complex, high-visibility live-event environments, ensuring network reliability, operational readiness, effective incident response, and successful team execution.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of Network Operations, Network Engineering, Network Infrastructure, or related experience
• Previous people-management experience, ideally managing 5-10 technical professionals
• Strong enterprise networking background supporting complex LAN/WAN environments
• Strong Cisco networking experience, including enterprise LAN and Catalyst environments
• Strong SolarWinds experience with monitoring, dashboards, alerting, and reporting
• ServiceNow or similar incident/ticketing platform experience
• Strong understanding of incident management, escalation, change management, monitoring, and service restoration
• Experience managing multiple network projects, infrastructure changes, deadlines, and technical resources simultaneously
• Strong project-management, organizational, and stakeholder communication skillsAbility to remain calm and decisive during high-priority incidents and operational events
• Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day direction
• Must currently reside in the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area; relocation candidates will not be considered
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
• Ability to work onsite in New York City 5 days/week
• Flexibility for occasional evening and weekend support around events, outages, and network changes

• Experience supporting 24/7, mission-critical, or high-pressure operational environments
• Experience in live entertainment, venues, sports, broadcast, gaming, aviation, transportation, utilities, critical infrastructure, defense, or public safety
