Job description

Director of Mission Critical Business Development

United States

Director of Mission Critical Business Development

Position Summary

Join our partner firm, Macgregor Associates Architects (MAA), an Invision Studio, as a Business Development Leader – Datacenter Program, where you'll be instrumental in expanding the firm’s presence within the mission-critical, hyperscale datacenter, and cloud infrastructure sectors.

In this role, you’ll lead business development strategy, focusing on building relationships with enterprise clients and hyperscalers. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, legal, and finance—to develop tailored solutions and close high-value opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of datacenter design and operations, including power, cooling, redundancy, colocation, and edge computing. While this is not a technical role, the ability to confidently communicate with both internal teams and clients on complex infrastructure topics is essential.

You’ll also bring expertise in sales pipeline management, contract negotiation, partner development, and market strategy, with a customer-focused approach and a talent for building lasting relationships.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing, forward-thinking firm and make a significant impact on its presence in the datacenter and mission-critical sectors.

The Perks!

At Macgregor Associates Architects, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, paid holidays, bereavement leave, fully paid maternity leave, and a 401(k) pension plan with employer matching contributions. Our coverage includes medical, life, long-term disability, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Employees also have access to a cafeteria plan with pre-tax options for medical and dependent care expenses. In addition, MAA provides professional registration support, performance-based bonuses, and flexible work hours.
