Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Director of Software Development to define and manage the full software lifecycle for internally developed medical device software. You will lead diverse engineering teams, align with regulatory obligations, and drive strategic initiatives across R&D and operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in CS or related field and 15 years in medical devices, including 5+ years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership with the ability to develop strategy, drive execution, and deliver results.
• Expertise in agile development methodologies and software lifecycle management.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and work cross-functionally across Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Marketing, and Business Development.
• Creativity, adaptability, and a proactive, professional approach in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Define and update the software development strategy to streamline current workflows and enable future product growth.
• Oversee projects from planning through release, including scoping, prioritization, risk management, and resource allocation.
• Ensure delivery of projects within established timelines, budgets, and quality criteria, while demonstrating measurable business value.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of senior and junior software engineers, fostering collaboration and alignment with corporate goals.
• Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, team development, conflict resolution, and corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, ensuring fiscal discipline.
• Drive adherence to the company’s Code of Ethical Conduct, Quality System, ISO standards, and FDA regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D leadership on the development and launch of next-generation technologies and services.
• Guide outsourcing decisions to create efficiencies, reduce costs, and safeguard intellectual property.
• Champion the company’s culture with a focus on empowerment, accountability, creativity, and execution.
• Serve as a credible representative with physicians, consultants, suppliers, and internal partners.
