Horn Memorial Hospital seeks a Materials Management Director to lead the purchasing and inventory functions. The role operates Monday–Friday during daytime hours, with exempt status, and focuses on securing supplies and equipment at favorable prices while ensuring accurate inventory control.

The ideal candidate will have hospital experience, supervisory capabilities, and strong Microsoft Office skills to manage contracts, pricing, and vendor relationships effectively.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent. A strong background in business education is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Administers and directs program to purchase supplies, equipment, and services at the most favorable prices.
• Assists in establishing requirements for items or services to be procured and develops standard specifications.
• Determines the best method of purchase and payment.
• Supervises storage, control, and issuance of materials, and maintains contacts with supply sources and sales representatives to remain informed of price trends, availability of supplies, new items, and reliability of suppliers.
• Ensures that supplies are tagged for charging purposes and works closely with the Business Office to keep charges updated on supplies, drugs, and equipment.
• Aids with annual physical inventory of supply room
• Maintains an indexed listing of all supplies and inventory of each item purchased
• Oversees the Supply Clerk
