Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a senior leader to oversee the materials management departments at our Oxford, MS campuses. The role ensures purchasing of medical/surgical supplies, linen, equipment, services and capital assets while supporting hospital performance and the organization's mission.

The incumbent manages all shifts, 24/7 coverage, and oversees budget, supplier relationships and process improvements to deliver cost-efficient, high-quality service across the health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• MS/MBA with 4 years experience or BS with 6 years experience preferred.
• Healthcare leadership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitors supply needs of customers and develops improvement plans with measurable goals to enhance services.
• Promotes Baptist Memorial Health Care (BMHCC) vision/values through personal example and interaction with staff and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
• Directs overall operation of materials management departments and works with staff and customers to enhance efficiency and quality of service.
• Controls overall financial/budgetary management of the department through analysis of operations and identifies opportunities for cost reduction.
• Communicates and interacts with staff and key customers to improve customer satisfaction.
• Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.

Job Summary

Provides leadership over the materials management departments. Responsible for the management and purchasing of all medical/surgical supplies, linen, medical equipment, services and capital assets for the hospitals. Responsible for assuring departmental contribution to overall hospital performance and the organization's mission and goals. Under the administrative direction of the corporate supply chain department and hospital CFO. Incumbent is responsible for all shifts, 7 days/week, 24 hours/day and subject to overtime and callback as required by hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Monitors supply needs of customers and develops improvement plans with measurable goals to enhance services.
