Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Director of Material Technology to lead the site's supplier and raw material quality organization, ensuring the quality and availability of direct materials essential for high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team, partnering with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, and Quality, and collaborate with Samsung Korea and a global supplier base to enable technology transfer, supply-chain

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, including supplier quality and materials engineering.
• 10+ years in progressive leadership roles managing technical teams or organizations.
• Experience with supplier qualification, material specifications, supplier change management, and non-conforming material disposition.
• Strong knowledge of SPC, process capability, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving.
• Experience managing senior-level supplier relationships and communicating risk to executives.

Responsabilidades

• Lead site strategy for raw material and supplier quality across current and future semiconductor technologies.
• Own governance for qualification, specifications, supplier change control, incoming quality, and material disposition.
• Develop long-term technical roadmaps aligned with technology nodes and supply-chain strategy.
• Identify and mitigate material and supplier risks before manufacturing impact.
• Direct end-to-end qualification and lifecycle management of materials and suppliers.
• Establish supplier scorecards, KPIs, and executive reviews; drive corrective actions.
