Job summary

Grocery Outlet is hiring a Director, Data Governance to lead the master data governance program. You will define data fields, establish SAP-based processes, and balance speed of buying with data integrity to support opportunistic deals.

You will partner with Merchandising, Finance, IT, and Store Operations to embed governance into day-to-day workflows and build a scalable governance model that grows with the business.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in master data management and data governance.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional initiatives in complex environments.
• Deep understanding of data standards, entry/validation processes, and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Define data fields and standards for vendor/item/PO master data and SAP design.
• Lead remediation of existing bad data and establish ongoing data intake controls.
• Partner with IT and business teams to ensure data ownership and governance.
• Monitor end-to-end data flow from SAP to stores and ensure data accuracy.
• Build and coach a data governance team and establish accountability.
